So the world wide launch of the 3G iPhone happened on Friday the 11th and apparently they all sold out. In Australia, Vodafone, Telstra and Optus are stocking the 3G iPhone on both pre paid and post paid plans. So far, Optus's deals look the best...
But the iPhone itself... Yes, its functions are limited. For instance, it doesnt send MMS Messages, ok, this is a downside, but, there's inbuilt email and to my mind, thats far better.
I did have a chance to play with one this week before ordering one for my Fiance. Speaking with the staff at the OptusWorld in South Melbourne, their months quota was 80 iPhones. The sold this quota on Friday Morning. That gives you some indication of just how popular they are. Of course, which model is more popular.... the 16gb Black one of course.
